Here you'll find resources to take the pain out of Ajax coding!

 

Ajax lets you build interactive, user-friendly web apps without the user needing any plugins such as Java or Flash.

 

If you're a complete novice to coding Ajax, first make sure you have a reasonable grasp of JavaScript - there are so many tutorials on the web that I won't even insult you with a list.

 

On the site you'll find tutorials about the various Ajax components such as the XMLHTTPRequest object, callback functions etc, as well as some fully-worked example projects that you can recreate on your own setup.

 

Ajax can work with just about any server-side scripting language, but here I'll use PHP, as it's probably the most widely-known; however, I'll try to keep all server-side scripting to a minimum.
